In a vibrant celebration of community-driven sustainability, Hartford’s “Solar for All” initiative marked a major milestone this August with more than 350 residents now benefiting from solar energy systems. Launched in 2018 through a partnership between the City of Hartford, Connecticut Green Bank, and PosiGen, the program aims to make solar and battery storage accessible to all homeowners—regardless of income.

The completed turbine is comprised of one tower, three blades, and one nacelle, and the fully assembled machine represents the largest turbine in the western world, with a nameplate capacity of 13 Megawatts, capable of providing power to more than 6,000 homes and businesses in Massachusetts.

Approximately $750 million in state resources  has been made available through the Consolidated Funding Application (CFA) in 2015 to support economic development priorities of the strategic plans and job creation across the state.

The CFA process replaced multiple applications for economic development projects with a single application for state economic development resources from numerous state agencies, and institutionalized the role of the Regional Councils in identifying priorities for state resources.
